For my birthday in 2019, I invited 12 people over to my place where I puppeteered a several hours long campaign in a game I created myself. I scrambled weeks prior to create these shop keepers and monsters. Players would earn coin from dice-powered PVE battles in several different monster encounters on their way to save the queen. Between battles, pre-recorded cutscenes written and voice acted by yours truly and narratively driven mini-games, teams of players would spend their hard earned coin on items, upgrades and potions (yes, actual tiny bottles with juice inside with different game altering effects). Players would earn titles in the form of tiny scrolls that would give them unique benefits in shops, battle or even a special role in the story itself. I think the greatest gift I could ever give to myself is the time and focus needed to make something for everyone. For the shop keepers, I did not have time to create my own bgs, so they do not belong to me. The signs were my concept but my gf helped piece them together. She also helped curate the event.
